Velour Black Velvet Underglaze is a warm black color that is deep and velvety at cone 05, darkens and becomes warmer at cone 5, and is silky and deep at cone 10. A clear glaze deepens the color of the underglaze significantly at any temperature.
Velour Black Velvet Underglaze may be muted when used under SM-10 Clear Satin.
SM-10 Clear Satin is a silky, stiff zinc-free clear glaze that works well as a liner or over underglazes. Use 2 coats over underglazes to show the color.
Due to variations in raw materials used during manufacturing, we recommend firing glazed test tiles before using each new batch number of glaze.
