Mt. Baker Porcelain is a cone 10 creamy porcelain with a medium tooth. It is our Kenzan Porcelain with the addition of 5% grog. Mt. Baker is often chosen by those who are used to working with stoneware but occasionally desire the whiteness of porcelain. The addition of grog allows you to push Mt. Baker more than you typically would a porcelain. When fired in oxidation to cone 10 it has a shrinkage of 13% and absorption of <2%.
Consider Mt. Baker Porcelain if you like Kenzan Porcelain, John’s White Stoneware or A-Clay White Stoneware.
All of ABF clay bodies are manufactured at the Clay Business. We pug and de-air our clays to offer our customers the highest quality clay that is ready upon opening. Each box contains 50 lbs. of prepared clay which, for easier handling, is split into two cubes.
Bulk Pricing is offered, with discounts at 10 boxes, 20 boxes, and 40 boxes.
