Cone 6 Porcelain is a smooth cone 6 creamy porcelain that is very workable. Its versatility makes it good for beginners as well as advanced ceramic artists. In oxidation, it fires to a creamy white. Although we offer Cone 6 Porcelain as a cone 6 clay body, artists enjoy the flashing results from firing it in a cone 10 wood-kiln. When fired in oxidation to cone 6 it has a shrinkage of 11% and absorption of 1%.

All of ABF clay bodies are manufactured at the Clay Business. We pug and de-air our clays to offer our customers the highest quality clay that is ready immediately upon opening. Each box contains 50 lbs. of prepared clay which, for easier handling, is split into two cubes.

We try not to ship wet clay when we have freezing temperatures, but we cannot account for weather elsewhere on its journey. If you purchase wet clay in the winter months, you assume the risk of it freezing in shipment.
