A-Clay White Stoneware is a cone 6 white stoneware that is recommended for both hand-building and throwing. Its versatility makes it good for beginners as well as advanced ceramic artists. In oxidation, it fires white with slight speckling from 2% sand. We recommend firing A-Clay White Stoneware to cone 6 for whitest results. It can be fired to cone 10 for greyer and more vitrified results. When fired in oxidation to cone 6 it has a shrinkage of 12% and absorption of 2%.

All of ABF clay bodies are manufactured at the Clay Business. We pug and de-air our clays to offer our customers the highest quality clay that is ready upon opening. Each box contains 50 lbs. of prepared clay which, for easier handling, is split into two cubes.

Orders of more than 10 boxes will be shipped freight. Freight costs are highly variable, and the estimated $500 rate will be adjusted to reflect actual cost after shipping.

 We try not to ship wet clay when we have freezing temperatures, but we cannot account for weather elsewhere on its journey. If you purchase wet clay in the winter months, you assume the risk of it freezing in shipment.
