Mel’s Earthenware is a slightly sandy cone 06-04 red earthenware that is particularly great for hand-building and throwing. When fired in oxidation to cone 3 it has a shrinkage of 13% and absorption of <2%.
It is workable, plastic and forgiving making it ideal for students and schools.

We try not to ship wet clay when we have freezing temperatures, but we cannot account for weather elsewhere on its journey. If you purchase wet clay in the winter months, you assume the risk of it freezing in shipment.
