Shipping
We process orders each business day (Monday-Friday). Orders placed after 12 noon MST will be processed the following business day. Although we work hard to process orders in a timely manner, we ask that you allow 1-2 business days for orders to be processed, packed and shipped.
Small orders are shipped USPS. If you require UPS shipping, please choose that option at checkout.
The shipping given at checkout is an estimate. If the shipping estimate is higher than the actual cost, we will edit your order to charge the actual cost.
Freight
For large orders (ten boxes of clay or more), we will ship your order on a pallet. Freight costs can be highly variable depending on ZIP code. Upon checkout, your card will be authorized for a flat fee of $500 per pallet, but we will edit this upon shipping to reflect the acutal cost. For destinations in or near Montana, freight is significantly less than this estimate.
Please note upon checkout if you require a liftgate or inside delivery.
Out-of-Stock
Inventory Due to delays in communication between our storefront and our website, occasionally a product will be unexpectedly out-of-stock. In this case, we will contact you for further instructions in processing your order.
Damage or Loss of Shipment
Examine your order for loss or damage immediately upon receipt. In the case of freight shipments, inspect in the presence of the shipper before accepting. It is your responsibility to ensure that you receive the goods undamaged. Verify quantity and inspect for visible damage before signing the freight driver’s bill of lading. If loss or damage is determined, or the clay appears frozen, note the damage on the driver’s bill of lading and request the freight company make an immediate inspection if you believe you will be able to salvage the materials. Keep all materials and packaging intact for inspection. If concealed loss or damage is later discovered, notify the Clay Business immediately via email or call 1-800-442-2521. If there is a discrepancy noted in your shipment, we must be notified within 10 days of the order’s receipt.
